Author of Poptropica: Mystery of the Map and The Dreadful Fate of Jonathan York

Bio: Kory Merritt creates cartoons and graphic novels for the extremely popular website poptropica.com, which was created by the bestselling author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series Jeff Kinney. It was named a Time magazine best website for kids. Kory is the illustrator of Poptropica: Mystery of the Map, the first book in an exciting new graphic novel series, which is earning praise from critics and kids alike.  Kory  started cartooning and illustrating while attending SUNY Brockport college in New York.  His weekly comic strip, Brockport Chronicled, won the John Locher Memorial Award. Lost Side of Suburbia, a children’s book series, is published online on FunBrain.com, one of the most visited websites by kids. Kory was largely influenced by folktales Kory learned as a counselor at Camp Kenan in Barker, New York. Kory currently teaches K-6 Art in Hammondsport, New York.
